7 Easy Ways To Detox Your Body to avoid more fat cells from being created

I want to share with you the secret to achieving a healthy life and keeping a slim body, but first let’s back up a little and explain a couple of concepts.

Every day people are subjected to toxins. These build up in the body and our poor old kidneys and liver have the job of handling them.

In our modern lifestyle – processed foods, pollution, pesticides, GMOs, sugary beverages, and baked goods have increased and our body’s filtering systems can’t keep up.

Because of this, your body is forced to produce fat cells to tuck those harmful toxins away. So actually fat is saving your life, as those toxins can do severe damage to body and mind.

Unless you live in complete isolation from pollution, processed food, insecticide sprayed fruits and vegetables, unpurified water and hormone laden meats and milk then toxins are ruling your world and keeping you fat.

Take pesticides for example. In the United States alone, $25 billion worth of pesticides are dumped on their foods crops.

More than a decade ago an environmental group surveyed blood samples of Americans – And what did they find?

A total of 287 toxic chemicals in those blood specimens with individual test subjects averaging 200 toxic chemicals each.

Of the toxins found, 28 of them were from waste products, by products from dioxins, herbicides and pesticides. In addition they found 47 toxins from consumer products such as Teflon and flame retardants. Most serious was the toxic chemicals found that were banned more than 30 years ago, many of them directly associated with cancer and birth defects and infertility.

But these test subjects did not absorb these toxins by consuming food and being exposed to the air around them. They couldn’t have because they were all newborn babies. The blood tested was taken from their umbilical cords.

As well as being mindful of where toxins are coming into your body you need to put a concentrated effort on eliminating these toxins on a consistent basis.

Detox, or ‘detoxification’ is a very natural way of getting rid of harmful pollutants that may have built up in your body.

Here are 7 ways that you can eliminate toxins

  1. Exercise regularly: sweat is a great way to remove toxins from your body.
  2. Stay hydrated: drink pure, filtered water to flush out more toxins via your urine.
  3. Start your day with lemon water: lukewarm lemon water in the morning aids your body to finalise its natural detoxification processes.
  4. Fibre-up: fibres in fruit and plants are able to bind toxins and flush them out of your system.
  5. Get your antioxidants: free radicals are highly reactive compounds/toxins polluting and damaging your body. Antioxidants found in leafy greens and berries are a great way to neutralise those damaging free radicals.
  6. Eat Organic as much as possible to avoid pesticide and GMO traces ending up in your body. I know this can be expensive and I’m not asking you to buy all your produce organic.
  7. Avoid Processed, canned, and fast foods. They don’t contain as much vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial nutrients as fresh whole foods. On top of that, those type of foods are high in, salt, sugar, additives, and preservatives which are not aiding your body to stay clean and healthy.

If you are serious about losing weight and living a healthy lifestyle, you should consider a detox. The 5-Day Jumpstart is a great place to begin. I wrote another blog post talking about why I love this program so much. Click here to check it out.
