Eating to Control Blood Sugar

By admin | In Health & Nutrition | on February 28, 2013

In order to properly control our blood sugar we must do 2 things.

  • Eat every 3 hours and,
  • Eat Low Gylcemic.

By eating every 3 hours we not only minimise the highs and the lows of our blood sugar but we also speed up our metabolism.

Much like a stream train fireman hovels coal into the firebox. He doesn’t wait for the train to slow down before he puts more coal on. For our bodies to work at the maximum efficiency that it can, we must not wait before we slow down to eat.

At first this can seem strange to some people. Some say “But I just don’t feel hungry at that time”, but if you go long periods between meals, your body will hold onto whatever food you give it because it doesn’t know when it’s getting its next meal. We need to get our bodies used to regular meals, therefore metabolising that food instead of storing it.
