My own personal health journey has been a huge source to draw upon. It has helped me hugely when relating to each one of my clients as I have been where all of them are. At my heaviest over 40% body fat to my leanest at 18% body fat and currently pregnant which is the newest part of my journey with it’s very own set of challenges!
Each step of this journey has had new lessons to learn and share. The thing I pride myself on the most is my ability to provide absolute clarity on exactly what it will take, what you will have to give up and what changes you will need to make to achieve your goal. I also know the benefits that you will experience from making these changes.
But how you ask?
Well I haven’t always had this level of certainty.
For a long time, helping my clients achieve fat loss was hit and miss. I applied the basic methodology of calorie and portion control, adequate exercise and optimal supplementation and some of my clients seemed to do exceptionally well while mysteriously, others had small changes compared to the amount of effort and energy expenditure.
Initially I put it down to severe cases of insulin resistance which is a very common condition that can severely stall your fat loss (but I’ll address that topic in a future article).
Soon enough I found myself in the exact same situation. No matter what I did I could not seem to lose fat from my lower body.
Something I’ve learnt from my past experience is whenever I’ve been in an extremely challenging place, a breakthrough is just about to happen. Having this mindset caused me to ask different questions. Like why do some people store fat in certain areas? Why can someone lose fat easily from from the legs but the upper body be soooooo resistant to change. And the vice versa. Why is it that one person could lose 0.5kg of weight in a week and another could lose 2kg? How much of an effect can a piece of chocolate really have to somebody’s success? How strict does someone need to be to get a result? is it the 80/20 rule that needs to be applied? or is it 60/40?
I mean haven’t you ever thought that it shouldn’t be so hard or take so much force to lose even a little bit of weight?
Well unless you address the underlying cause for weight gain, then losing fat from those stubborn areas can be near on impossible.
The major breakthrough I had with understanding my own body and therefore being able to have absolute certainty with my clients was this very thing.
Hormonal issues and their corresponding glandular weaknesses.
The absolute last thing you need is another diet.
Working with hundreds of people over the last 5 years has me believe that it’s not a problem of will power that people have – but that they simply have never addressed the underlying reasons for their weight gain in the first place.
I firmly believe this is the missing step. Once you know HOW fat is burned and HOW gland health is related to that, it WILL work for you.
I have developed a quiz to help me determine which underlying gland weakness you might have. You can take this quiz here
I am always keen to speak with anyone who can relate to my journey. Better still it would be my pleasure to help you towards your goals.

Hi Tarryn
I just thought I would let you know I am still using your methods (most of the time) and still have my weight under control.
I am very pleased with the help you gave me, it was a real eye opener and had me wondering at the beginning if it would work. Thanks again, Donna
